I can vouch for those B-52s. We spotted 2 of them flying at that altitude, between cloud layers over the town, about 6:30pm(?) They were line abreast, approx 1500' separation, traveling roughly east. It surprised us because of the thunderstorm that had developed. The lakebed got hammered by the downdrafts, and we could see the lightning near Queen's. Then they popped into view. We were surprised.
