I see the yellow lead-in line painted over the outline of the bow, but I don't think the asphalt on the upper left part (northwest) was paved over. It looks like the portions that look paved over are outside the fenced AOA, and I would guess were never painted to begin with.

Regarding the Nimitz 77, that is the obvious reference. They certainly knew that whatever they painted out there would be plainly visible to anyone looking, including those who aren't simply curious... Skunk Works has a history of intentionally putting things in plain view in order to deceive. With that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if the 77 was used to throw some people off their trail.

Or, it could be just as simple as scaling for a Nimitz-class...
