A standard C-150F has a 26 gallon capacity with an optional 38 gallons on the Commuter model. With some rough figuring 3:01 airborne would have pushing it at a lower altitude for the 26 gal tanks, but within range of the 38 gallon capacity. Still 3:01 in that tiny A/C could be a very uncomfortable ride at low altitude. To me sounds like either a dumb luck flight or one with a purpose.
