I was browsing through some of the photo archives and came across the series of shots of the new giant hanger under construction at the far end of Groom Lake. Which got me thinking...who's actually handling these kind of construction projects? I can't imagine just any company would be able to do it, given the sensitive nature of the base. I work in the logistics industry by day, so I can't help but wonder where all of the labor, materials, and equipment needed for a project like this comes from. Groom Lake naturally attracts a lot of attention for the black projects that take place there, but I find it kind of fascinating how much behind the scenes support is needed for an operation like this.
