Interesting sighting, thanks for the post. As the article states development of the ability to remotely control one or multiple UAV from a manned jet has long been rumored. It seems like the next logical step in air-air combat.

A couple of issues I have with the article for discussion:

The author states the altitude of the Predator was 1,000ft. I assume he means AGL. That still is unusually low, especially for a Predator.

Also, he states the formation disappeared into the Groom air space. The video shows him in a canyon with no clear view to either side. I am not sure he would be able to determine that the aircraft in fact entered Groom air space, being that he was quite a distance away from the "box". If confirmed it would rule out an "ordinary" training mission since even during Red Flag aircraft are not to enter the "box".

Regardless, it is interesting to see an F-35 fly in formation with two UAVs. I hope we get some more opinions on this.
