No. This was a Northrop aircraft used to ferry employees (primarily those from Pico where we worked) and the occasional bit of kit to Palmdale. As USAF types, we were not allowed to fly on a contractor owned/operated conveyance, so we had to drive up there. I can remember seeing the a/c coming into land just as we got off the highway (Antelope Valley Freeway?) at the Palmdale exit. It was a Twin Otter or something similar.

As I recall, it was a little better than a two hour drive up there from where we stayed in Downey, the flight took our Northrop colleagues slightly less than an hour from where they picked up the a/c in LA. I thought it was Long Beach, but someone here suggested it might have been Hawthorne.
