From the description of the space they require both on the public roads, and then again as they get close to the barge at the Marina, this item is a lot larger than anything that would fit on a flat deck. Further reading indicates that the 17:00 start time today (Friday, Oct 18) is actually the start of the move from the Northrop campus through the public streets of Redondo Beach, with the barge loading presumably occurring sometime on Sunday, 20th.
