It may have been an exercise. Maybe just used us as for training, the chopper appeared in the hills adjacent to the track (we heard it over the engine noise of the car before we saw it). Then they followed us, landed or low hover behind - too much dust to tell - then flew past and landed on the road toward the base at the point we turn right to exit the area towards Rte 6.

Previously, while watching the F-117s, we noticed a white SUV in the hills near our parking place, perhaps they called us in. Or maybe with the threat of people storming the area there's sensors, cameras and increased vigilance.
