This is a great question you posted. I have hiked the area near Sheep Peak many times. You can take Corn Creek Rd to Alamo Rd then to Joe May Rd. That will put you in a canyon just north of Picture Canyon. Hayford Peak at close to 10,000' would give a good view. I've talked with people that have done the hike, and they all say it's very difficult. Hopefully a couple friends, and I will be hiking it very soon.
