Back in the 80s/90s, there were a large number of books, many biographical/autobiographical, published in the UK dealing with the RAF in WWII. Publishers quickly realized featuring "Spitfire" in the title and/or using an illustration of the iconic aircraft as cover art was a surefire (no pun intended) way to sell books. Some of the titles were a bit of a reach, but none more so than that of a book written (and translated into English) by a former Luftwaffe fighter pilot. I forget the German title, but when published in the UK, it was sold as "Spitfire on My Tail."
