Lol Exactly. I took Fortran 4 at EWSC cards, giant punch card machines, submit the job with a rubber band around the pack and wait for your green/white tractor paper with all the errors. Our RCA computer took up the whole basement of the college library and was a used one from Disneyland. We also did Basic on IBM ball writers that wanted to walk out the door as they pounded away on a huge yellow roll of paper. Played many a game of Star Trek on those writers; no CRT or monitor, just the keyboard and that yellow paper print out that updated after each move.
