I am very sorry, Joerg, that they didn't take your concerns into consideration. Even a small amount of preparation would go a long way to ease the concerns of locals, and help prevent many problems.

A DUI checkpoint on Friday and Saturday night would go a long way to prevent mishaps - AND bring in money to help pay for the expense!

Whatever "donations" the organizers have taken in, should first and foremost, go to dumpsters/trash removal and portapotties. Additionally, it should cover a roadblock into the residential area, which could easily be manned by volunteers. Unfortunately, I haven't found any information, anywhere, that addresses
any of this.

The Inn now has an application for volunteers, but I have not heard back from them yet.

There is one thing to consider; this whole thing could turn into a giant snoozefest. If there isn't much going on in the way of entertainment, or if the Inn runs out of food, most people will just leave.
Personally, NO ONE I have spoken to is going, and most think it's a terrible idea. I have my own back up plan in case the roads are blocked, it's boring, or there's too many crazies; I'll just head over to Mesquite and visit the casinos! Others will probably do the same.
