Wondering what the plans are over near Ash Springs? Is the Alien Research Center/Store with the giant alien statue doing anything?

Not planning on coming (I am off to Burning Man myself this Friday to be part of the Census Team during the pre-event build week and during the event - and may stay for playa resto (as I did last year)), but it is an interesting case study in the difference between how Burning Man is organized and regulated (too much of the latter IMO), v. this event which is near residential areas and just nuts by comparison.

Are you going to hunker down and stay in town for it Joerg? If so, live updates from you would be interesting.
