I know there's a guy that just did Tikaboo so hopefully he'll chime in. I did it last July and it was harder then I thought but not something that cant be done. When we went, they had had a lot of rain so the road was washed out in several places. We had a 4x4 so had no problems. I think taking a car is going to be a problem. We made it up to the top in about 2 hours. I had a pack with 5 bottles of water and my wife had her camel-back. When we returned to the truck, all the water was gone but we had more waiting. We brought snacks and such but nothing more then that. Sleeping at the top is still on my bucket list. Its pretty rocky and uneven up there so finding a flat spot to pitch a tent might be difficult. Its a blast and you'll enjoy every part of the hike.
