You might want to give Turo a shot. I did a quick check and there are a bunch of 4WDs available in Las Vegas, Jeeps, Toyotas, Land Cruiser, etc. I've used Turo a couple times and everything was fine. The cost worked out about the same as a regular rental company but the vehicles were more interesting.
