The first time I visited Area 51 we rented a Blazer with 4x4. Nothing fancy and I didn't read the rental agreement to see what it said about off-roading. It was able to go everywhere we wanted it to go including Powerlines Overlook and all the way to the Tikaboo trailhead as well as Brainwash Butte by the TTR. I chose to get the extra insurance. We washed the heck out of it at the carwash before returning it in order to feel less guilty about doing stuff we weren't supposed to do with it! Technically we were on roads the whole time even if they were dirt "paths". Mike
