These patches normally sell for $5.00 each, which is what I paid for mine. I noticed that one of them on eBay had a Buy It Now option at $20.00, which would mean that you are paying $5.00 for the patch plus a $15.00 premium to own it now rather than waiting to find it at a lower price. Also, it's one way of avoiding the inevitable bidding wars that drive prices up to insane levels.

The spike in prices can be directly attributed to the attention brought by the recent Internet articles.
