I love that strech of drive on I-80! The strange and unusual Great Salt Lake, The old, and many times abandoned Saltair ammusement park and ballroom (filmed in the movie Carnival of Souls, and very creepy when it was still most recently abandoned 15 years ago), the sculptures along the highway including the giant Tree of Life sculpture which rises up out in the middle of nowhere, the road and backroads to Dugway, the Bonneville Salt Flats race track, the remnants of Wendover Army Air Base and ghost town barracks with the remains of the Enola Gay B-29 hanger, and the lights at night from the casinos up in the hills on the Nevada border. Highly recommended!
