Agreed. I get the feeling that it is no longer a priority. I think it was more about getting a fiber optic link (via the proposed fiber optic ground wire) to Mt. Irish than about the power.

BTW: The F-16 that crashed near Caliente a couple of months ago missed the power lines to Rachel and to the proposed Mt. Irish sub station by only a few hundred yards.
