Comparing it to other photos of a Super Hornet - some differences stand out. T he tail fins don't look as tall as they should in relation to the body of the jet (as in this photo at the link) and the inlets (possibly because this may be a product of the packaging) look oddly canted to the outside. There also could be some structural components missing that make this tarp-wrapped aircraft look different then the run-of-the-mill SuperHornet and (or) added supports or crating that also distorts the shape. Does anyone know where (out west) these birds could be coming from? Highway 60 runs from western Arizona to Virginia. If it came from a plant in California - why not just take I-40 - a straight shot and a bigger Highway? When he left this evening - (when asked on the CB) he said he was heading up to the Boeing plant at St Louis. -Steve Douglass
Hmmm - Maybe I'm just hoping it's something different under that blue tarp.
