I would not be surprised if a couple of F117's are still flying, possibly to test flight characteristics of an unstable aircraft. As the latest proposed UAV/UCAV's seem to have a similar airframe design the remote pilots or designers could be learning how this shape/configuration behaves at various heights. If I am not mistaken weapons are often released from this sort of height.

It would be wrong not to preserve, as all agree an unbelievable aircraft for future research.
