Perhaps not, but then again who's to say that it couldn't be read on the original full resolution image, especially if that photo was taken with a 300mm prime lens. Here's a similar shot, the serial is located just behind the nose-tip...

It is interesting to note that scramble has one particular airframe; 82-1068, listed as belonging to the 419th Flight Test Squadron which is based at Edwards.
