I camped just off of 375 from about 4am Sunday Nov 23rd to about noon Tuesday Nov 25th. At about 1:00am on the morning of the 25th, with cloudy skies, I woke up and heard two jets thundering over. No sonic booms. But then I heard something like beating on a drum, or a slow, non-metalic sounding, machine gun. A rat-a-tat, rat-a-tat, rat-a-tat -- maybe 2 or 3 beats per second. Not very loud. Either very high or further away. Didn't even think to grab the video camera to try to get audio. Asked if the Little A Le Inn had any local specialty drink. Sad to learn they couldn't make the "Cherry aia 51, because the food processor was broken." Spoke with Pat briefly, and a guy, I've forgotten his name now, from Brittan, who is working there now. Also had lived on Key West for I think he said 8 years. And I fixed some of the Formica on the edge of the bar -- had just been doing a similar repair on my RV just off 375 where I was camped. Joe
