I drove up there on Thursday but my clearance would not allow me flight line access. I do have someone looking out for me though. I will let you know if I find anything out, it would be a great feeling to finally give something back to the site. On a seperate note I did meet someone that same day who was a mechanic on the SR-71 project in its early days. He was based out of California somewhere and is willing to share most of his stories. I gave him this website info. Expect to hear from him soon.
