By the way, I don't think is anywhere near Cactus Range. Comments? Here is the photo commentary verbatum: Name: "Depleted Uranium Field" Thud
Time: 9:32 am
Distance: 16 miles
Location: Cactus Range is a section of the Tonopah Test Range that is used to test nuclear weapon delivery systems, including ground- and air-launched rockets. In 1980 the Environmental Restoration Project was implemented to address possible land and water contamination due to the testing. Depleted uranium was found in many areas, including the one pictured.
