This one is a 100-400mm zoom for my old Canon D-60. At the long end the IS helps immensely. As long as there is not too much terrain in the background it works very well on fast moving aircraft. I took the photos in the attached link last weekend under much less than optimal conditions. Most are zoomed down to 25% of the original size.
