It seems that the _exact_ location of the various navaids varies by only a small amount, by anyone's guess. Most seem to think that Pyramid is roughly SW of the base, Planet IS or is near Mercury etc. But the continual confusing point to me is the 415kHz PYD beacon that has been DF'd at the north end of the runways. That darn PYD keeps screaming out in the middle of any reasonable attempt to extrapolate the navaids. What the heck could that 415 beacon be? Is it common/logical/possible that there's a pyramid nav-fix AND some other kind of PYD RF beacon and they are both obviously somehow related to the air ops at Watertown? I'm very confused by that beacon. And while I'm expressing confusion, I'm also confused about that range 74 KBJN wx beacon. Public available WX data including visibility. How does an unmanned WX station measure/report 'visibility'? Lumpy
