I have tracked the Janet flights from Angel Peak a while back. It looks like they enter the ranges somewhere near Mercury. They fly straight north along the east side if the NTS, and then north-east along the south side of Papoose mountain. Then after a left turn line up for the approach to Rwy. 32.
The part where they fly nort-east is when they fly almost directly towards the Black Mailbox with the landing lights turned on, creating the illusion of a "hovering light".
