Regarding the geiger counter, maybe whomever runs the tour now might be convinced to bring their own geiger counter. It's not like they don't have a few thousand handy. You do get to walk in one crater. Perhaps dragging your shoes would get a good soil sample.

My recollection is the only hot spot you visit is Sedan Crater. If you were to ask for a geiger counter reading, I'd suggest there and perhaps near the low level waste dump that you visit.
