Interesting. I'm also intending on being at Tikaboo sometime during that same period (middle of Dec). I'm not sure of the date at this point since I intend to hit the peak on the way to LA (unfortunately, I'm not sure when I need to be in LA). I was on Tikaboo last Nov of 2005 with my telescope. I'm checking the internet weather services to see if Alamo is ok and if the area seems to stay dry and clear. I'll certainly post here a few days before my trip to verify (if anyone can help) what the conditions will be like for the 22 mile dirt drive.
