I got the coordinates of the crash off the scanner. [Sorry, the recorder wasn't on.] The coordinates I copied are wrong as they were east of Alamo, not Tonopah. The flag was effectively shut down after the crash since rescue operations would be effected. IIRC, one a-10 and the CH-47s were kept in the area. The after-flag bombing party still went on. There was smoke on the ground. The AWACS did a roll-call at the time to insure all planes in the flag were accounted for, just in case. The plane spotted was civilian. Are all the Beech Janets at LAS? Bjorn (who says he knows Joerg) was on the hill at Coyote with me.
