The Hot Creek Valley off Highway 6 has many interesting things to visit. There is Base Camp (originally built for Project FAULTLESS nuclear test and later used by AFFTC, perhaps as an auxiliary filed for Groom), the Project FAULTLESS ground zero and support facilities, Peroglyph Butte and Bluejay Spring prehistoric indian rock art sites, Moore's Station and Pritchard's Station stage coach stops, Lunar Crater volcanic feature, and others. Nearby "Meteorite Crater" is probably just a karstic formation and not an impact crater at all.
