Thanks for that. That lens looks like it would do the job well, but you are right about the cost factor.

It costs more than I paid for my truck. ;)

I have been through a succession of cheap digital cameras, and have decided I need to upgrade. I'd like to go with a digital SLR, and the EOS looks like something to shoot for.
