Some early B737-100 & 200s also had rear self contained stairs. Very few aircraft were delivered like this. Our airline has had problems with corrosion in and around the front stairs. We have replaced the galley floor and supports in most of our 737s. We operate 5 Boeing 737-200s. We would like to remove all stairs but some of the airports we use have no airstairs. It also adds about 1500 pounds to the aircraft. DB
