Yes, the road north of Corn Creek station to Desert lake is on public land. But you can see warning signs on part of the way on the west side of the road. Technically it cuts through the restricted area (as it is marked on maps) for a few hundred yards, but there are no warning signs to stop you. There is a mountain range to the west, though. No view at all, not even at the bombing ranges. Not sure where that airfield south of the bombing ranges is that you mentioned. Can you give coordinates, or a rough area (in relation to Indian Springs, the prisons etc)?
