I have done a little more checking on the "F4" in question from the 2005 Nellis airshow where there were two - one (74-0665) for the Heritage Flight and the other (72-1485) as a back-up for the Heritage Flight. They are in fact, QF4E's from Hollomon AFB. It is NOT "Det 1/32 ARTS" as in the original post but Det 1 of the 82 ARTS. The 82nd ARTS Sqdn. (Desig. TD) is at Tyndall AFB in FL and is the Aerial Targets Sqdn. Det. 1 of this Sqdn. is at Hollomon (Desig. HD). They are part of the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group. From http://www.philippecolin.net/82ATRS.html "To commemorate four decades of USAF F-4 operations, six QF-4s have been painted in special schemes to take part in the Heritage Flight at airshows across the United States. Operated by the 82nd ATRS, four QF-4E from Tyndall and two from Det 1 at Holloman were given special commemorative paint scheme during 2003." And yes, Coyote Ugly, there are no F4's in the active inventory - these are QF4's, modified for drones. [;') "This squadron is the only unit left in the USAF to fly the venerable F-4 Phantom II reduced to the role of aerial targets." zipper
