Magoo's point are well taken. But, let's also remember the "fact" that men were traveling into space, above 100,000 ft., in the 1960's. The X-15 program bolted great pilot's such as, Scott Crossfield and Pete Knight into record breaking event's. i.e. Robert "Pete" Knight went Mach 6+ in the X-15. The "Rocket Pilot's" went there first. However, this X-43 thing is supposed to push mach 12+. WOW ((( smile ))) Thud
