The advantage to Bonanza Peak is at it isn't completely desolate, just in the vent something bad happens (broken ankle, etc).

You should also poke around Cold Spring while you are there. It's an interesting alternative life-style. Everyone lives off the grid.

Digging through my notes, Cold Spring is a spot where the NTS trunk system #1 can be heard. Control channel 406.1125, base 406.1, spacing 0.0125, offset 380, motorola p16.

Cold Creek is one of the few areas around the Neliis ranges where I didn't receive any of the Groom Lake Edacs system.
