If you want to see Papoose, Tom Mahood has the directions for Mt. Stirling. I think, but haven't done this myself, that Bonaza Peak would be a better hike. I have hiked Bonaza Peak, but hit snow at maybe 8000ft. The peak is around 10k ft.
