FYI, if you use the solid fuel type stove, you will really need a butane lighter to get the fuel tablet started. For the camp stove, you can use a match.

If you use a lighter, it helps if the cover does not get in the way of the flame reaching the stove. I got one of those "storm" lighters, and the lid gets in the way of the flame. Fine for lighting a cigar, but you really need a torch. I use one I got at Fry's Electronics that looks something like this

The idea is there is nothing in the way of the flame, so you can use it like a blow torch. [Trevor calls it my crack pipe lighter. ;-)]
