You should pick the Tropicana. For whatever reason, hotels don't reserve you a room in a certain location, but rather they reserve a class of room. So you can't book a room with the view you want. [At least I can't.] However, you can book a room in the Island Tower of the Tropicana. Then when you arrive, ask to be facing the airport in a room as high as possible. If for some reason they don't have a regular room in the Island Tower, you can probably upgrade to one of the suites. They cost double the ordinary rooms and are more likely to be available. A suite in the Trop is the price of a regular room in the Luxor, so it's not all that bad. If you can't get a room in the Tropicana, second best is the San Remo, now the Hooters Casino. [Hooters: just what Vegas needs.] When it was called the San Remo, there were two towers, Silver and Gold. The Silver Tower is the only one that had a view. Of course, there is no reason for Hooters to use the same nomenclature.
