You can also check my trip report for August 30th, 2005. Visiting the border area on Groom Lake Road is quite the adrenaline rush, especially when the Cammos sit in plain view of the vehicle that you may be in. Having knowledge of exactly who the Cammos are, their function as it relates the Area 51, makes it very intimidating when it is just you staring at them staring at you in the middle of the desert. It is almost as if they dare you to come across the magic line. Just bring some good equipment with you to get quality shots of the area. Kinda makes ya wish you could be a fly on the wall in one of the hangars, doesn't it? And to think, birds and bugs have seen more of the base! I agree with The Major - a slightly embellished story of the legend mixed in with some fact is every grandfather's privilege! Stories are one of the things that Grndafathers leave for the little ones before they're gone. When we're old and gray, our Grandfather stories to our little ones will spark their interest, and keep the search for answers everlasting.......
