Just read your reply about hearing the noise you heard.
That read like something me and my girlfriend heard at the GLR border in June.A awesome roar of a noise coming from behind the hills towards the base which lasted 10/15 seconds then just went quiet.It has kind off been discussed on this list and I think we came to the conclusion it was some kind of engine test.But god what a noise it was though.
