Not forbidden, as long as the camera sits on public land. But quite a technical challenge, considering the next phone and power line is 20+ miles away.
I have actually thought about this but even if you use solar panels for power, and a sat. phone for the uplink, you would need someone to watch the equipment 24/7, or it would mysteriously disappear.
