F/A-XX is the navy's version of NGAD so thats what came to my mind since China Lake is a navy station. Apparently if all contractors have demonstrators, that would mean 3 planes. And those 3 hangars are somewhat separated from the rest of the base which would be better for hiding something. Could just be the first few hangars built with more to come in that area... was just a guess.
