It would have been very dull to the human eye - but through enhanced optics it stands out a country mile - and no, there is nothing that you can do about it as you are tearing the skies apart by brute force (Even if you use sophisticated aerospike, say, with microwaves to move the air, you still create a hella big wake, just not one that touches your airframe)
