I've now read most of it. Peter has pulled together all the significant open source info on Area 51. This book will be the standard reference - unless and until the US government declassifies truckloads of documents about the National Classified Test Facility. Written with style and thoroughly footnoted.
It even has a few tidbits about the U-2 operations 1955-57 that I didn't know :-)
