The 1989 North Sea sighting received attention from Bill Sweetman and like-minded black aircraft experts after being publicized in 1992, but I should mention that an article published in a March 1992 issue of Aviation Week and Space Technology reported a night sighting in February 1992 of an aircraft flying with F-117s and a KC-135Q was made near Beale Air Force Base in northern California. According to the report, the aircraft sported unusual diamond shaped nav light pattern, which when compared to the formatting of F-117s suggested that it was about 50 percent longer than the F-117s. The engine noise was described as being "like a very low rumble, like air being passed over a very large bottle." Has any new information come to light regarding the February 1992 sighting of the mystery aircraft seen at night in formation with the F-117s and KC-135Q near Beale AFB?
