I just checked the Palm Springs Air Museum Facebook page and they issued the following statement yesterday about the situation in Palm Springs following the tropical Hilary:

"Amidst the challenges presented by Hurricane Hilary in our cherished Coachella Valley, the Palm Springs Air Museum has faced little damage and came through the storm well. We're humbled to share that our doors remain wide open for aviation enthusiasts and history aficionados alike.

During these difficult times, our hearts extend to all in our community who've felt the impact of the recent storm. The Palm Springs Air Museum holds everyone in our thoughts and prayers, especially those members in our community who've faced adversity with the difficult weather. It's in times like these that the true spirit of togetherness shines brightest, and we're here as a symbol of hope and solidarity.

Stay strong with us as we navigate these challenges and move forward. The Palm Springs Air Museum serves as a beacon of strength in our community and of Southern California. May God bless you and your family."

Thus, Palm Springs Air Museum thankfully was spared from the torrents of rain in Palm Springs because the F-117 the museum has as one of its exhibits is quite precious for using classified stealth coatings.
