What is not normal in any way shape or form, is putting out a back channel crash call and sweeping up people who are just about to separate from service, and fast tracking them straight to a major project. Add to this the packages on offer for the qualified people, and it absolutely paints a picture of a major project falling into Northrop's lap that they haven't honestly prepped for. And boy oh boy are they offering some amazing cold hard cash (and benefits) as the carrot!
As you know, everyone has an NGAD team and NGAD demonstrators of both manned and unmanned assets with their respective teams. Going forwards into a fly-off is just a natural progression for the teams involved.
